PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) allows hospitals, pharmacies, care homes and hospices to work safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
PPE ensures the protection of people working in the thick of the crisis covering vulnerable areas of the body and allowing them to work in dangerous conditions.
The NHS has stressed the importance of PPE with Emily Lawson, the Chief Commercial Officer for the NHS, saying, “We need massively increased, urgent volume[sic] of these supplies to the frontline in this exceptional set of circumstances.”
To help with the current shortage of masks and equipment we have donated around 500 units to care homes, doctors offices, pharmacies and hospitals. The NHS and other critical staff have given so much to protect families across the country from the spread of COVID-19 and we are happy to help them out in any way we can.
“It’s really nice to be able to do a little bit to help not only our local community but those in need a little further out too. We have had loads of people call and ask if we can help them out and luckily we have managed to give away a great deal of PPE that might go some way to helping a lot of people protect themselves that little bit more.” – Darren Skinner, Managing Director, Midlands Asbestos Solutions
We are blown away by all the NHS and support systems have done and are happy to offer them some kind of aid through this trying time. From Birmingham to Leeds we have received calls for PPE and have worked tirelessly to ensure critical areas get the protection they need. Our hats go off to the way the British public have pulled together to protect friends and families alike and we’ll continue to do what we can to help out.
“Hi Darren, thanks so much and absolutely take my hat off to you guys for the amazing gesture to help the NHS out with the PPE/masks etc, I know it will be massively appreciated at this really difficult time for them on the frontline. Really well done to both of you guys featured in the report on East Midlands Today which I saw on the iPlayer this evening. really well-done mate…” – Terry
We would also like to thank you all for your feedback and would like to remind everyone to follow the government’s instructions. If we work together we can make it through this crisis more caring, understanding and united than ever.
